Each police station to send 40 teams for Gully Cricket Tournament, SSP hold meeting with UTCA & all SHOs
Chandigarh, In view of the upcoming Gully Cricket Tournament which is being organized by the UT Cricket Association (UTCA) and Chandigarh Police from April 20, SSP Chandigarh Kanwardeep Kaur held a meeting with UTCA officials and all SHOs at the Police Headquarters in Sector 9 on Friday. During the meeting, it was decided that each of the 16 police stations in the city will send a total of 40 teams—32 boys’ teams and 8 girls’ teams to participate in the tournament. The registration for the event is open to all players from the police stations with the last date for registration being April 7. Players must register with a valid Chandigarh Aadhar Card.
SSP Kanwardeep Kaur along with SSP City Geetanjali Khandelwal, UTCA Secretary Devender Sharma, Tournament Chairman Ravinder Singh Billa and UTCA Manager Sanjay Dhabas emphasized the importance of smooth coordination for the event. To ensure seamless communication, DSP Vikas Sheokand has been appointed as the nodal officer by Chandigarh Police. Additionally, Team Liaisoning Officers (TLOs) will be assigned to each team to work closely with UTCA keeping the players informed about the tournament schedule and other important updates.
