Dr Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan rembered at Gian Jyoti
Dr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan remembered today at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management & Technology, Phase-2 Mohali. The students of GJ-IMT celebrated Teacher’s Day with pomp and show to make their teachers feel special on the birth anniversary of Dr Radhakrishnan. The Students presented their teachers cards flowers and gifts to express their gratitude on the occasion.
J.S.Bedi, chairman, GJ-IMT was the chief guest. Chairman Bedi lit the lamps and while speaking at the moment he stressed on the importance of the role of teachers in making a society. He lauded the role of teachers in building the character of students.
He said Dr Radhakrishnan has devoted his most of the time the teaching profession and considered it a proud privilege that his birthday is celebrated as Teachers’ Day. According to him a good teacher should be broad-minded, innovative, dedicated to his profession and committed to the goal of imparting knowledge to the students.

The students cut the cake at this occasion. A cultural programme was organized for teachers. Students organized a ramp show and various games. The day was full of fun and frolic, students showed their love and gratitude to teachers by greeting them . The teachers enjoyed various cultural activities presented by the students. Teachers showcased their talent in the different fields. Bhangra and antakshri were the main attractions of the cultural events. Outstanding teachers and members of the non-teaching staff were honoured on the occasion by Chairman.
