As is well known dengue fever is viral dengue transmitted by the Bite of infected female Aedes aegypti mosquito. Initial symptoms of dengue include high fever runny nose, body aches, backpain, joint pains and cough. There symptom are common to many other red fever like common cold etc. and hence liable to be ignored.
However, immediate medical attention is imperative if there are any of the red herring or warning signals. There may be: skin Rosh, seven headache, pain behind eyes, ammonia, and vomiting or loss of appetite or drowsiness.

Remember risk of complication is just around 1 % of case of dengue and if above red herring sign are kept in under by everybody and prompt medical attention is sought, there can be managed.
