Five arrested for consuming liquor at public places

Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-17 & PS-MJ, Chandigarh against five persons who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later they bailed out. Investigation of the cases is in progress.

This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Action against violation of orders of DM, UT, Chandigarh

A case FIR No. 330, U/S 188 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh against Rajinder Singh R/o # 150, Village-Palsora, Chandigarh who violated the orders U/S 144 Cr.P.C of DM, UT, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Two arrested for applying fake number plate on stolen Motor Cycle

Chandigarh Police arrested Kamlesh Kumar R/o # 149, Village-Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh and Kala R/o Village-Janta Colony, Naya Gaon, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab near Mullanpur Barrier on 14-08-2018, while they were using fake Registration number PBT-7282on Platina Motor Cycle. In this regard, a case FIR No. 209, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Dowry

A lady resident of Zirakpur, Distt.-Mohali, Punjab, alleged that her husband & others resident of Pune harassed complainant to bring more dowry. A case FIR No. 68, U/S 406, 498-A, 420 IPC has been registered in PS-Women, Chandigarh. Investigation of case is in progress.

Theft

Sh. Shivam Gaur R/o # 427, Khuda Ali Sher, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s cycleparked near SCO No.348, Sector-34/A, Chandigarh on 30.03.2018. A case FIR No. 290, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34 Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 295, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh on the statement of Sh. Surjit R/o # 103, Phase-1, Mohali, Punjab, Chandigarh who alleged that driver of car No. CH-01-AJ-5005 namely Jatindervir Singh R/o # 665, Phase-3/A, Sector-53, Mohali, Punjab, who hit to cyclist namely Ram Babu near Gurudwara, Sector-53, Chandigarh on 13.08.2018. Ram Babu got injuries and admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, Punjab. Alleged person arrested and later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
