~Story of Choti Sardarni~
Choti Sardarni is Indian Hindi TV serial which telecasts on Colors channel. The show is produced by renowned director Rajesh Ram Singh, who has directed shows like Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Kesari Nandan, and Chandrashekhar. The show is set in a Punjabi backdrop and features Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia and Avinesh rekhi in lead roles.

Avinesh Rekhi was last seen playing the lead role in Star Plus show Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia is a model turned actress and is playing the female lead of the show. Nimrat essays the lead role of Meher in the show while Avinesh will be seen as Sarabjeet Gill.

The makers of the show have released the first promo of the show. The first promo of the show has created a controversy as the promo of the serial has hurt Sikh sentiments. The President of All India Sikh Students Federation Satnam Singh Gambhir has written to Colors channel protesting a promo of the serial. The serial starts with narrator stating the girl had embraced the five Ks, however the girl’s head is half covered with the scarf and no kirpan is shown. Gambhir said that the channel must take action within 48 hours or else the federation will start a campaign.

As per latest reports, TV actor Hitesh Bharadwaj (Surveen Guggal fame) is be playing a pivotal role in the show. Hitesh is seen in the role of Manav (Meher’s love interest). Also, actors including veteran actor Anita Raj (as Kulwant), Amal Sherawat, and Pawan Mahendru are seen as th supporting cast.

As per the plot, Meher and Manav are truly in love with each other. Meher’s mom Kulwant has political ambitions wand does not approve of Meher’s love to a simpleton like Manav. She kills Manav and forces Meher to marry Sarabjeet. Mehere is pregnant with Manav’s child and agrees to marry Sarabjeet in order to save her child from her evil mom.
