Child Labor Free City campaign launched in Chd under Child Friendly City Initiative:- One of the Chandigarh Labor Cell Committee- (Chandigarh Trade Board) and Don Bosco Navajivan Society in collaboration with the District State Legal Services Authority under the Child Friendly City Initiative to promote the rights of child labor free and child protection to the city of Chandigarh The day-long “Child Labor Free” campaign was launched. The campaign was launched in Sector 34. A signature campaign was also organized to support this campaign. During this time not only the shopkeepers were made aware for not employing a child below 18 years of age as a laborer, but the shopkeeper also signed a pledge in this regard.
As part of the awareness campaign, the young members performed a street play on the subject of child labor and made 50 shopkeepers aware.
Charanjeev Singh, new chairman of Chandigarh Business Board, Ravinder Singh Billa, chairman of Chandigarh Labor Cell and Regi Tom, Director Don Bosco Navjeevan Society, Sector 24 Chandigarh, CFCI Team, Childline 1098 Team, Anti Human Trafficking Unit and Para for supporting the drive Legal volunteers also participated in this campaign.
