The Mega Store is a venture of Shri Ji Enterprises of a 25-year-old Chandigarh entrepreneur – Madhav Ahuja. While speaking to the media at the unveiling of Patanjali’s Mega Store Madhav said, “It was my dream to establish Patanjali’s Mega Store in Chandigarh. I wanted to do something related to Ayurveda and its promotion as it is India’s time tested traditional medicinal science which needs to be brought to the forefront. The positive aspect is that I am seeing a trend where youngsters are turning towards Ayurveda and are going back to their roots even while setting up businesses. Ayurveda will certainly get a boost with youth establishing Ayurveda start-ups.”
“I am happy that now I am also part of the ‘Made in India’ initiative,” added Ahuja.
The mega store will also offer free doctor consultation to address lifestyle induced diseases like blood pressure and diabetes, which can now be countered by adopting a naturopathy and Ayurveda based regimen. Healthy Soya products under Patanjali Nutrela brand will also be available at the mega store.
Not just Ayurveda based medicines and healthy drinks but the Patanjali Mega store will be a one-stop-shop for all of one’s grocery needs. Dry fruits, pulses, rice, and wheat flour all will be available. It will be an outlet providing a 360 degree provision for all of one’s household needs.
In reply to a question, he said that this outlet has been established after 2- 3 years of intense research on the needs of the market in terms of Ayurveda and other daily use products and also to find the right location. The outlet is centrally located and will provide the much needed one stop centre for all of Patanjali products, he said.
The outlet will get all products straight from the corporate headquarters of Patanjali in Haridwar. It is expected that there will be 4- 6 refills of products under different categories each month due to high demand and off take.
It is noteworthy that Madhav is also eyeing to open another mega store of Patanjali in Mohali.
