Chandigarh Taxi Operators Association extends unconditional support to Bansal
Pawan Kumar Bansal, the Congress candidate from Chandigarh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, was apprised with the issues faced by taxi operators in the city by Ramesh Kumar Ahuja, President of Chandigarh Taxi Operators today at Congress Bhawan.
Ahuja said that under BJP’s rule the operators didn’t get permanent tenders which means they have to renew them every five years. He also said that despite several attempts the sitting BJP MP Kirron Kher didn’t adhere to their requests.
In the meeting, the Chandigarh Taxi Operators Association extended its full support to Bansal with each of their over 5000 members agreeing to vote for him.
The former Union Minister assured them that once elected to power he will resolve their complaints and also thanked the association for joining the Congress.
Pardeep Chhabra, the president of CTCC, who was also present there, said the party has got strengthened with their support.
AAP party workers join Congress
Active party workers and supporters of Aam Aadmi Party from Chandigarh’s Dadumajra colony joined Congress today.
Dadumajra’s welfare association’s chairman and Congress leader Harjinder Singh Prince played a key role in making them join the Congress party in the presence of Pawan Kumar Bansal, the Congress candidate from Chandigarh for the upcoming Lok sabha elections and Pardeep Chhabra, the local Congress president.
