Chandigarh Police is celebrating 29th Road Safety Week-2018 under the theme “Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha” w.e.f. 23rd to 30th April, 2018. During this week, today i.e. 25.04.2018, a painting competition and face painting competition on road safety was organized by Chandigarh Traffic Police in Multipurpose Hall, Police Lines, Sector-26, Chandigarh. In this competition, 214 students participated from 22 various Govt. and Private schools of City Beautiful. Competition was held in junior wing and senior wing.

Smt. Vasundhra Dalal Anand W/o Sh. Shashank Anand, SSP/Traffic & Sec. was the chief guest and Sh. R.K.Ambasta, DSP-South, R & D (Traffic), Sh. Yashpal Vinayak, DSP-Admn & East (Traffic), Inspector of Traffic Wing, teachers of 22 various Govt

Out of these students, Sai Vibhuti Chauhan of Carmel Convent School, Sec-9, Chandigarh got 1st position, Kritika Patyal of Moti Ram Arya School, Sec-27, Chandigarh got 2nd position and Jaspreet Kaur of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec-23, Chandigarh got 3rd position in senior wing.

Whereas in the junior wing, Gauri Sharma of Moti Ram Arya School, Sec-27, Chandigarh got 1st position, Swati of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sec-39-C, Chandigarh got 2nd position and Pooja Kumari of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Sector-39-C, Chandigarh got 3rd position.

In the face painting competition, Aujasvir of Carmel Convent School, Sec-9, Chd got 1st position, Aprajita of Bhavan Vidyalya, Sec-27, Chd got 2nd position and Bhavna of S.D.Public School, Sec-32, Chandigarh got 3rd position.

In this event, Smt. Vasundhra Dalal Anand W/o Sh. Shashank Anand, SSP/Traffic & Sec. was the chief guest and Sh. R.K.Ambasta, DSP-South, R & D (Traffic), Sh. Yashpal Vinayak, DSP-Admn & East (Traffic), Inspector of Traffic Wing, teachers of 22 various Govt. & Private schools of Chandigarh and Traffic Marshals were also present. All the winners were awarded with trophies.

During this competition, cultural program was also held.
