CGC Jhanjeri is to hold  World Wrestling Professionals Competition

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri  is to host war of Pride, a World Wrestling Professionals Competition at its campus with the theme Stay fit & healthy a step towards attainment of Nasha Mukti, a Drug Free Society . The event will be held on 10th of February 2018 from 5 PM onwards. World’s top ranking male & female wrestlers including Black Widow, Zelda, Bobby Lashley, Carlito Renders, Mr Wrestler, Nightmare and Tiger Rapta will partic ipate in this competition. The event is likely to be glorified by   Navjot Singh Sidhu Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Archives and Museums, Government of Punjab, Govind Thakur, Minister for Forest, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Government of HP, Govind Thakur, Minister for Forest, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Government of HP, and other leading personalities .  Renowned Bollywood singers & dancers are will also add glamour to this function.

Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal President CGC said that wrestling in India has been a popular sport from the ancient times. It is considered as a prestigious event in the Olympic Games. Tiger Jeet Singh is a professional wrestler born in India. The Great Khali is an Indian professional wrestler and power lifter. He became World Heavyweight Champion in 2007. Mahabali Shera is an Indian Pro Wrestler  is currently competing in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. According to him India has 2nd largest viewership of Pro Wrestling in the World.

About World Wrestling Professionals (WWP)

World Wrestling Professionals (WWP) is a South African organization created in 2002 for the promotion of  professional wrestling. The promotion was televised internationally in 2009. WWP is heavily influenced by American Mainstream Wrestling. It was formed with the goal of taking African wrestling to another level and it has now grown to be the No. 1 Wrestling Federation in South Africa.. The WWP moved on to India to film a Weekly show on colors TV called 100% De Dana Dan, which established the WWP Brand in the Middle East.
