Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri ‘s A Helping Hand Club carry forward its efforts to help those affected by COVID-19 pandemic. A number of social services and philanthropic activities have been carried out by CGC Jhanjeri, on a regular basis.
CGC Jhanjeri distributed various essential items such as food, snacks, water, soaps, among daily wage workers whose livelihood was stopped or reduced due to COVID-19 lockdown. The club is working tirelessly to provide nearly 1,000 meals laborers on regular basis .Club is active in creating separate medical wards both for male and female. Isolation ward has been created with nearly 200 beds capacity with the provision to increase it to 1,000 beds in case of need.
To keep the entire CGC Jhanjeri campus properly sanitized and free of coronavirus infection, Sanitizing Walk through Gate Tunnels have been installed at the entrance and other important locations. The entire campus has been sprayed with medically recommended disinfectant, making it completely safe to study and work.

Implementing additional precautionary measures, more than 1,000 face masks have been distributed by the club that were stitched by the Fashion Technology department of CGC Jhanjeri, with the target to distribute 5,000 such masks .Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC said at the moment that Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri has left no stone unturned to extend helping hand for social cause to ensures the safety of everyone
