Centuary Mattress reaches a new milestone; announces 5 Millionth Mattress on World Sleep Day
To mark the World Sleep Day on March 16, 2018, Centuary Mattresses, one of India’s leading mattress brand, today announced manufacturing of 5 millionth mattress from its plant at Hyderabad in Telangana. The Company which is in its 30th year of operations, manufactures a variety of mattresses such as Coir, Foam, Spring and Hybrid, and 5 millionth mattress is a Hybrid mattress (Ortho Spine) – which has been the Brand’s highest selling product since last 5 years.
Centuary Mattresses, a brand from the Centuary Fibre Plates Pvt, Ltd Hyderabad which started its operations 1988, has 3 plants across Hyderabad, Telangana and Bhubaneswar, Orissa. While it took nearly 12 years for the Brand to reach its 1millionth mattress milestone, the last 1 million mattresses have been added in only 3 years.
Centuary has been one of the fastest growing brands in comfort and bedding industry by maintaining a CAGR of 19% per annum, which is higher in comparison to the market growth rate of 10-11% witnessed in the past 10 years.The company has continuously expanded its operations and has a fully integrated manufacturing setup to produce all major components such as polyurethane foam, memory foam, spring coils, etc. in-house.

According to Industry estimate, the Indian mattress industry stands at INR 7,500 Crores which is slated to grow at 15% per annumover the next 5 years. Currently, 60% of the mattress industry in India is unorganized; out of the 40% organized segment, close to INR 3,000 crores is being generated.
