Campaign against spread of viral hepatitis held
An awareness campaign to prevent the spread of viral hepatitis was organized by Alchemist Hospital on Sunday to mark World Hepatitis Day.
During campaign the pamphlets about awareness on hepatitis A, B, C, D & E were distributed to people at Yavanika Gardens here.
The people were made aware about the early symptoms of hepatitis like fever, rashes , joint pain, flu-like symptoms, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, sore muscles, dark urine, pale or clay-coloured stools and jaundice.
They were also informed about the causes and prevention of viral hepatitis virus.

During campaign the free tests of BP and blood sugar were also offered to the people.
