Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 21 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 21 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 24 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03 = 3 cases, PS-11 = 1 case, PS-17 = 1 case, PS-19 = 1 case, PS-IA = 2 cases, PS-MM = 4 cases, PS-IT Park = 3 cases, PS-MJ = = 2 cases, PS-34 = 1 case, PS-49 = 1 case, PS-39 = 2 cases,. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Three persons arrested for Theft in two separate cases
A lady resident of Ropar (PB) alleged that a lady resident of Ludhiana (PB) was caught while stealing her gold chain at Bus Stop, PGI, Sector 12, Chandigarh on 26.05.2018. A case FIR No. 166, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Masi-ull Hassan R/o H.No. 1063, EWS Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh alleged thatunknown person stolen away one rear wheel of his Auto No. PB-65F-9607 while parked near his house on 25.05.2018. A case FIR No. 146, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later two persons namely Deepak and Jaspreet both R/o Village-Milk Distt-Mohali (PB) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Action against obstructing public way
A case FIR No. 171, U/S 283 IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh againstRakesh Kumar, Babu Ram & Madhav Ram all R/o near Vijay Bank, Sector-17, Chandigarhwho were arrested near Plaza Sector 17, Chandigarh, while they were running Rehri/Fari at public place and obstructing public way. Later on all bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
A lady resident of Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away her Activa Scooter No. CH01AW-4167 while parked in front of her house on night intervening 25/26-05-2018. A case FIR No. 245, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Vipan Chaudhary R/o H.No. 476/1, Sector-40A, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Innova car No. CH02AA-2134 while parked in front of his house on night intervening 24/25-05-2018. A case FIR No. 224, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
