Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place
A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Both later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Mohali, (PB), Chaman Lal R/o Village Dhanas, Chandigarh, Anish R/o Ph-2, Ram Darbar and Dev Raj R/o Ph-2, Ram Darbar, Chandigarhwhile they were gambling near Wine Shop, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh and recovered cash Rs. 10,440/- from their possession. A case FIR No. 241, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. All later on bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Vikas Sharma R/o # 5, Shakti Nagar, Dera Bassi, Distt. Mohali (PB) near turn to Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh and recovered one country made pistol along with 3 live cartridges from his possession. A case FIR No. 197, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
