Brief of Cases 14.05.2018

Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 26 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 26 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 27 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03 = 1 case, PS-11 = 3 cases, PS-Sarangpur = 4 cases, PS-MM = 3 cases, PS-IT Park = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 1 case, PS-31 = 4 cases, PS-49 = 1 case, PS-36 = 3 cases, PS-39 = 4 cases. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Darshan R/o # 6530-C, Sector-56, Chandigarh near turn, Sector 55/56, Chandigarh and recovered 1½ Kg Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 207, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

One arrested for MV Theft

        Sh. Surjit Singh R/o # 453, Sector-45, Chandigarh alleged that Ramdhari R/o # 6528, Sector 56, Chandigarh was caught by complainant while he was stealing complainant’s car No. CH-01AY-7190 parked near Shop No. 16, Motor Market, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 13-05-2018. A case FIR No. 181, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Yashpal R/o # 223, Ph-1, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Activa No. CH-01AB-5198 while parked near his residence on the night intervening 12/13-05-2018. A case FIR No. 160, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Gurjeet Singh R/o # 2418-C, Block 43, Sector-63, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Bullet M/Cycle No. PB-09AD-3191 while parked near his residence. A case FIR No. 92, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Burglary

Sh. Mukesh Kumar R/o # 382, Room No. 11, Village Kajheri, Chandigarh alleged that unknown person stolen away one gold ring, one nose pin, one gold necklace, head cornet and silver waist band from his residence on the night intervening 12/13-05-2018. A case FIR No. 180, U/S 380, 457 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Quarrel

A case FIR No. 186, U/S 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Deepak Sharma R/o# 395, Sector-29-A, Chandigarh who alleged that Jaswant Negi R/o Village Bachari, Distt. Shimla, (HP) beaten/threatened complainant near Library, Sector 34, Chandigarh on 12.05.2018. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
