In 2018, Bollywood had a fair share of good as well as bad movies. Movies such as Sanju and Parmanu were the ones that pleased the casual and die hard fans, Judwaa 2 and Race 3 were there to disappointment them too.

Sanju
A blockbuster hit and With an imdb rating of 8.5 Sanju is the highest rated Bollywood movie of 2018 till now. The Ranbeer Kapoor starter took a look at the troubled past Sanjay dutt had. It showed his ups and downs he had in various stages of his life, his fight with drugs and they way he was portrayed by media after the Mumbai bomb blasts in 2002. While the movie was called bias and painfully one sided by some accusing it as a effort to whitewash Sanjay’s image you cannot argue with the fact that Ranbeer’s performance and his portrayal of the character was excellent to say the least. The movie also featured the likes of Sonam Kapoor and BomanIrani.

The movie featured the rising star of India Raj Kumar Rao. It showed how twisted elections are in the underdeveloped and rural areas of India. Though the movie didn’t did well on the box office the reason it being released along with the commercially made movie Judwaa 2 and being less promoted. The critiques however didn’t disappoint and the movie got an imdb rating of 8.X. Raj Kumar Rao also received several National award and a filmfare award for the movie.

The movie featured the likes of John abhraham and x actor. Parmanu re-created the situations and circumstances India went through during the 19XX Pokhran Nuclear testing in Rajasthan. Unsurprisingly, the movie didn’t do well on the box office too but received the praises of the critiques. During the promotion of movie john made a statement saying he didn’t cared how much the movie makes in terms revenue, as he didn’t had much expectations from the box office which demonstrate the sorry state of choice of the Indian audience.

The biopic made on X Y. Featured another commercial successful actor Akshay Kumar. X Y after seeing the problems women faced in his village decided madefree of cost sanity napkins for which he received different honors by the government. The biopic was also in tollywood (The cinema of South India) which was a great hit. The movie received an imdbreting of 8.1 and did moderately well on the box office and did a total collection x crores.

A crime thriller produced by Karan johar and made under the banners of Dharma productions is an adaptation of 2008 novel Calling Sehmat written by HarinderSikka. The movie casts actors such as Alia Bhatt who got a lot of prasie for her work in udta Punjab and Vicky kaushal. The movies takes you to the year of 1971 where there were heavy tension between India and Pakistan. Alia Bhatt upon her father’ order marries Vicky kaushal who is an army official in Pakistan, and how she uses him to snatch sensitive information. Raazi received them love of both the fans and critiques and an imdb rating of 7.9.

The people of chanderi believed that there was some kind of evil spirit which abducted men during the night. The movie got an imdb rating of 8.4 and did well on the box office too.
