Khadi Mohatsav and Entrepreneurship Interactive session was organised by the Institution’s Innovation Council of Khalsa College (Asr) Technology and Business Studies Phase 3 A, Mohali in collaboration with khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of MSME( Ministry of small, Micro and Medium Enterprises), Government of India. The event aimed to promote Khadi as a symbol of self-reliance and sustainable entrepreneurship among students and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Various Activities took place under the event such as Essay writing competition on theme Gandhi and Khadi, Yoga Session, Exhibition on Khadi, Tree Plantation drive and Cleanliness campaign.
Mr. Sukhwinder Singh (Marketing Expert) & Mr. Anil Arya (Khadi Incharge) Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Ministry of MSME (Govt. of India) Sector-22D, Chandigarh, Mr. Sohan Lal Saini, Chairman-Kshetrya Punjab Khadi Mandal, Kharar were the chief guest of an event. Mr Sukhwinder Singh highlighted the rich legacy of Khadi, its role in India’s Independence movement.
On the other hand, a Seminar on the theme Drug Addiction: Damage to Mankind was orgainsed with the collaboration of Disha Women Welfare Trust, Punjab to raise the awareness about the detrimental effects of drug addiction on society. Ms. Hardeep Kaur, President, Disha women welfare Trust, Punjab, Ms. Surabhi Prashar, Chief judicial magistrate- come Secretary, District Legal services Authority, Ms. Smriti Dhir, Ld. Additional Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Mr. Manjinder Singh, Ld. Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal services authority, SAS Nagar, Ms. Rupinder Pal Kaur Advocate, Member and Mediator DLSA, Mohali were present in the Seminar.
Mr. Manjinder Singh, Ld. Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal services authority, SAS Nagar addressed the students regarding the legal implications of drug-related offences and role of Legal Authority Service Centre. Ms. Smriti Dhir, Ld. Additional Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar discussed the social and psychological impact of drug abuse.
