The illumination ceremony was followed by Nav Durga dance performance which was not only a mystical show but evoking Lord Almighty to bless all.

Thousand Hands of Bodhisattva was an energy packed performance .The dancers beautifully expressed colloquial and global fusion of Sri-Lankan and Mexican dance form with a tinge of North Indian Folk.

The Kathak dancers mesmerised the audience with their indigenous rhythmic patterns.

The folk fusion was well applauded by the audience  as, the Rajasthani  dancers, performed  a model of expression by using the codified technique; different from everyday gestures i.e. they presented themselves as puppets of unnatural materiality and mechanical nature.

The Josephian street rockers enacted a small sharp piece which strongly conveyed the message of how safety saves us on the road.

The most riveting performance which drew thunderous applaud was the Robotic performance.

The program rode towards the final crescendo with the foot tapping Bhangra  where the spectators were witnessed rejoicing with the gabrus.

Chandigarh,  November 03, 2018 (Kulbir Singh Kalsi): The Chief Guest Mr. T. C. Nautiyal said emotions are universal and expressions are prototypical. He was glad on seeing hues and colors as expressed by Josephities in various dance and art forms.

It was indeed a proud moment for St. Joseph’s when ex-Josephians Achintya, Nandini and Muskan Chanana were duly honoured by the Chief Guest for their notable accomplishment in their chosen fields. Two students who have shown exceptional improvement academically in Class XII, were also felicitated.

The Principal Mrs. Monica Chawla in her discourse said that our emotions bind us together and we can’t be devoid of portraying them. The annual Bonanza-Expressions is a medium to let the emotions surface and live in this world of juxtaposition.
