An award function was held at GO’s Mess, Police Lines, Sector 26, Chandigarh to recognize the good work done by Civilians, police officials and Home Guard Volunteers on monthly basis performances during the month of April 2018. On this occasion, police personnel & other officials who retired from police services after attaining the age of superannuation were also honored by Tajender Singh Luthra, IPS, Director General of Police accompanied by Shashank Anand, IPS, SSP/ Sec. & Traffic, Nilambari Jagdale, IPS, SSP/UT, and other Senior Police Officers including DSPs and Inspectors were also present at the Function. The police officers and other officials who retired after attaining the age of superannuation are Insp. Harjit Singh, Insp. Kulbir Singh, Insp. (ORP) Kuldeep Singh, Insp. (ORP) Surinder Singh, Insp. (ORP) Sukhdev Singh, Insp. (ORP) Gurdev Singh, Insp. (ORP) Gurwinder Singh, Insp. (ORP) Gurnam Singh, Insp. (ORP) Satya, Insp. (ORP) Harbhinder Singh, Insp (ORP) Kulwinder Singh, Insp. (ORP) Paramjit Singh, SI (ORP) Prem Chand, SI (ORP) Satya Pal, ASI (ORP) Gurinder Singh, Ram Piare (Dispatch Rider), Sucha Singh (Superintendent (Gd-II). The families of retired police officers were also invited on this occasion as a Guest of Honor.

- Verjesh Kumar, # 67,NIC, Manimajra, Chd: – He played crucial role for nabbing the accused person in FIR No. 110 dated 29.04.2018 u/s 323, 457, 380, 34 IPC (added 411 IPC after recovery of cash Rs. 150/-, and documents) registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh.
- Shyam R/o Village Sripur Bichwa, Distt. Udham Singh Nagar, Uttrakhand: – He played crucial role and helped police in arresting of accused person in FIR No. 134, registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh.
Ravinder Singh, Conductor No. C-2048, CTU, Depot No. 2, Chandigarh and along with Mohit Thakur, Driver, CTU:- Ravinder Singh, Conductor along with driver Mohit Thakur rescued a girl from the clutches of accused auto driver who tried to rape the victim on 20.05.2018. In this regard, a Case FIR No, 190 dated 20/5/18 U/S 354,376,511 IPC was registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.
