A special evening of Music in the fond memory of famous Punjabi singer Sh. Iddu Shariff:Pracheen Kala Kendra, an organization dedicated to Art and Culture has been continuously doing the yeoman’s service in the promotion, preservation and dissemination of Indian Classical Arts for the last six decades. With its tireless efforts, the Kendra is creating new dimensions in the field of art. In this chain , the Kendra has took new initiative through a special music evening organized in order to promote and broadcast the almost extinct art of Punjab. Kendra organized Punjabi Geetan di sham in the fond memory of famous ancient sarangi player and singer of Punjab late Shri Iddu Sharif by his son Vicky Khan , grandson and granddaughter. This program was organized at Dr. Shobha Koser Auditorium situated at its Mohali Complex. Renowned Punjabi singer Satwinder Bitti graced as the chief guest and Mr. Harpreet Singh Dadwal, President, Mohali Property Consultant Association as Guest of Honor. The program was organized under the aegis of Mohali Senior Citizens Association. On this occasion Registrar Dr. Shobha Koser, Secretary Sh. Sajal Koser and President of Senior Citizens Association Mr. Chaudhary were also present.
The program begin with the Shabad of Guru Nanak Devji “Mainu Panje Choraan To Bacha Lai Nanka”. After this, “Kali Heer Di” was presented in Raga Gauri, whose lyrics were “Doli muhre kudiyan den tarane heer nu”.

The next part of the program was a song with bols “Uth gaye ve gawando yaar rabba hun ki kariye” composed by Baba Bulleh Shah. This was followed by the song “Eh tan mera chashma hove ta main murshad vekh na rajjan” composed by Bahu. After this “Dulle Ki Vaar” was presented by lil champs Mani Iddu, Jugu Khan and Tammana with soulful bols like “Meru ne dhahaan mariyaan”.

After this, Vicky Khan made the audience emotional by presenting the famous folk song of Punjab “Sassi” with the lyrics of “Na Ja Bachchiye Ni Balu Reet Thalan Vich Taapde Ne”. After this, there was a lot of applause by presenting “Jado Ishq Ke Kamm Nu Hath Laiye” composed by Varis Shah. After that the song “Tere Vaaste O Sajna” composed by Sartaj was presented by lil artists. After this, “Heer Di Kali” composed in Raga Peelu was presented by Vicky . This was followed by famous song by Iddu Sharif ji “Pehlan Varga Ve Mere Vich Moh Hai Ni” and mirza Sahiba “Akh Lo Khuldi Sahiba” followed by “Tera Ishq Nachounda Gali Gali” In the end they presented “Chal Zindia” amidst thunderous applause. At the end of the program the artists were honored with bouquet
