The first of its kind “Advocacy Workshop: PMKVY and NAPS” was jointly organized by Chandigarh Skill Development Mission, National Skill Development Agency( NSDA), National Skill Development Cooperation(NSDC) and Director General Training, MSDE in Indoswiss Training Center. The workshop was chaired by Ms. Sunita Sanghi, DG, NSDA, Senior Advisor, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi. Mr. Y. Bangia, Joint Director, National Skill Training Institute, DGT ,Ms. Vasundhara Bhargava, Consultant, NSDA, Ms. Gagan Preet Kaur, Consultant, NSDA, Ms. Rashmi Pahade, Standards Team, NSDC , Mr. Rajat, State Engagement officer, NSDC to solve the issues of various Stakeholders.
The objective of the Scheme is to give elaborate idea on the Skill Ecosystem and role of NSDA , NSDC and DGT for supporting the efforts to further develop the role of national mechanisms for promoting skill development through various Schemes ie Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana ( PMKVY), National Apprenticeship Scheme. Chandigarh Skill Development Mission initiated the execution of PMKVY in month of July 2018, and this workshop provided an opportunity to understand the role of agencies and concepts behind the schemes and polices. CSDM is also working on the principal of convergence of schemes and departments, for which a total of 55 participants from the Department of IT, Indian Red Cross Society, ITI, Polytechnics, department of social welfare, finance department , school education, NITTTR and SCERT participated in this workshop.
The representatives of Punjab , Chandigarh and Haryana shared their experiences and best Practices of their respective States. The workshop ended with a Group Discussion and with the note that such workshops will be organized in the near Future as well.
Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

Powerful new missiles are ready to be used

A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
