Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 13 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.

 In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 13 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 13 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-03 = 3 cases, PS-17 = 1 case, PS-Sarangpur = 2 cases, PS-34 = 7 cases. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.

Accident

A case FIR No. 186, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh on the complaint of Gurinder Singh R/o # 1476/A, Old Marinda Road, Ward No. 5, Kharar, Distt-Mohali, (PB) against driver of car No. HR25G2039 namely Hardeep Singh R/o Village-Mishri Wala, Distt. Ferozpur, (PB) who hit to complainant’s Bullet M/Cycle No. PB-65AN-2490 near Badheri Chowk, Chandigarh on 27-04-2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

Sh. Virender Kumar R/o # 213, Sector-19, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away his Activa Scooter No. HR-03V-1860 while parked at Grain Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Rajnish Kumar R/o # 2301, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Splendor M/Cycle No. CH-01AT-7880 from near his residence on night intervening 25/26-04-2018. A case FIR No. 158, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

Sh. Jitender Kumar R/o # 511, Village Kajheri, Sector-52, Chandigarh alleged that unknown persons cheated away Rs. 25,000/- from complainant near PNB Bank, Village Burail, Chandigarh on 30.04.2018. A case FIR No. 161, U/S 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Jaskaran Singh Sandhu R/o 2255/B, Sector-47/C, Chandigarh alleged that Harjot Singh Anand R/o C-10, Kailash Colony, New Delhi and others offered 300 sq.yd. Expandable Villa in the project named Mohali Oceanic. Alleged person taken huge amount from complainant and promised to give authority of land. But they neither given authority of said land nor returned his money. A case FIR No. 81, U/S 420, 406 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Sh. Sunita Bakshi R/o H.No. 1419, Progressive Society, Sector 50-B, Chandigarh alleged that Yogender Kumar Dinubhai Desai R/o H.No. 7, Indraprasth Society, Vallabh Vaidya Nagar, Gujrat and Others told complainant that they are Promoters Directors of Loxroy (Labuan) Limited Company which carries out the business of Fuel Sticks Fuel Conditioner, and wanted to open a subsidiary company in India. They assured complainant that the investment will give very high returns to complainant. They cheated Rs. 1,02,21,656/- regarding investment in subsidiary company in India for selling the Fuel Sticks fuel Conditioner after importing them from company manufacturing at Malaysia and Singapore. A case FIR No. 213, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Attempt to Murder

        A case FIR No. 120, U/S 147, 148, 149, 307 IPC & 25/27-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ravi Kumar R/o # 2653, Sector 28-C, Chandigarh who alleged that Samak, Sultan, Toni & others attacked with swords and fired bullet on complainant and his friends Sachin, Vikas & Rajat near Peer Majar, Village Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 29.04.2018. Complainant and his friends got injured and admitted in GMCH-32 & PGI, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
