A first for the ride-sharing industry globally, Ola’s Safety Council to work towards strengthening safety of the mobility ecosystem in the country

As a part of its continuous endeavour of creating a robust mobility ecosystem, Ola, India’s leading and one of the world’s largest ride-sharing companies has set up a first-of-its-kind, Safety Council. Bringing together organisations and individual achievers from various sectors viz. urban transport, climate change, women’s safety, security management, traffic management, and emergency management services, Ola’s Safety Council would be a first for the ride-sharing industry, globally.
Aligned on the vision to create a safe, inclusive, and sustainable mobility by building and maintaining safety of the mobility ecosystem, Ola Safety Council will bring together members’ knowledge, data, technology, and local networks and will focus on areas that will make the greatest impact. The council will also work alongside policy makers, state transport authorities, traffic police departments, and other relevant stakeholders to create solutions that enhance ride and road safety on Ola as well as the ecosystem at large.

Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. The duo has been asked to respond within 21 days, as per the notice sent via a US court. The summons were sent to their residences in Ahmedabad.

Powerful new missiles are ready to be used

Putin saif this a day after Russia fired a new intermediate-range missile into Ukraine for the first time. he added that the firing of the missile was prompted by Ukraine’s use of US missiles and British cuise missles to hit Russia.

After US and Britain allowed Ukraine to hit Russia with their missiles, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his country’s war with Ukraine was escalating towards a global conflict.Putin warned the West that Rusia could strike back. He further said that Russia fired a new kind of hypersonic meium-range ballistic missile at Ukraine. adding that more could follow
A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. We a re working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” an airport spokesperson said. Railway services are also not stopping at Gatwick Airport station untill further notice.
Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
