Special drive against consuming liquor at public place was carried out at different parts of the city in which total 06 cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered.
In continuation of a special drive against consuming liquor at public place, yesterday, the drive was carried out at different parts of the city. Under this drive total 06 different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC got registered in different police stations of Chandigarh in which total 06 persons were arrested while consuming liquor at public place. All accused later on bailed out. The detail of police Stations in which cases U/S 68-1 (B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 got registered:- PS-11 = 1 case, PS-Sarangpur = 2 cases, PS-19 = 2 cases, PS-MJ = 1 case. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Quarrel/Assault
A lady resident NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh alleged that Brij Mohan R/o # 1491, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh beaten/threatened to a lady at H.No. 1495, NIC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 05.04.2018. A case FIR No. 74, U/S 324, 452, 506 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. She got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later accused has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Sh. Ajay Kumar R/o # 406, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh alleged that Rahul, Akash, Pawan and 2/3 unknown persons attacked on complainant and his friend namely Amit near H.No. 1418, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh on 04.04.2018. A case FIR No. 74, U/S 323, 341, 147, 149, 506, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Later accused namely Rahul R/o # 135, NIC, Mani Majra and Pawan R/o # 148, NIC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MV Theft
Sh. Rajesh R/o # 2254, DMC, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away his Bullet M/Cycle No. CH-01AM-1557 while parked near his residence on night intervening. A case FIR No. 87, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A lady resident of Sector 4, Panchkula (HR) reported that unknown person stolen away her purse containing I-Phone, credit cards and other documents at FR Cinema, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 05.04.2018. A case FIR No. 141, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 157, U/S 279, 337 added 304A IPC has been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh against the unknown person. The accident took place between Truck No. DL-1GC-3944 and Tata 709 No. PB-65R-2320 at Airport light point to Hallo Majra light point road on 05-04-2018 in which nine Persons namely (1) Tahzir R/o Village Rampur Sainia Derabassi Mohali (PB) 2) Sajjan Singh R/o Vill Rampur Sainia Derabassi Mohali (PB), 3) Bablu R/o Ajam Khera, Unnav (UP), 4) Ghanshyam R/o Ajam Khera Unnav (UP), 5) AbujarR/o Vill Rampur Sainia Derabassi Mohali (PB), 6) Shah Alam R/o Ajam Khera Unnav (UP), 7) Neeraj R/o Ajam Khera Unnav (UP), 8)Ram Chander R/o Ajam Khera Unnav (UP) and 9) Ranjit R/o Ajam Khera, Distt. Unav (UP) got injured and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Later Ranjit R/o Ajam Khera, Distt. Unav (UP) declared dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 140, U/S 279 IPC & 185 MV Act has been registered in PS-MM, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Paramjot Singh R/o # 280, NAC, Mani Majra, Chandigarh against driver of car No. CH-04C-1400 namely Tilak Raj R/o # 2162, Pipli Wala Town, Mani Majra, Chandigarh who hit to complainant’s car No. CH-01AN-9939 while parked near SCO No. 9/10, near Bus Stand, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 04-04-2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
