Ankit's ton ensured UT boys a 88 runs lead against Jharkhand

Chandigarh, A brilliant century from Ankit Kaushik has put Chandigarh into a commanding position against host Jharkhand on the third day of the Ranji Trophy match being played at Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur. The visitors were bundled out for 290 and thereafter Jharkhand is struggling at 28/3 in its second innings.

Earlier, Chandigarh resumed its overnight score of 34/0. Arslan Khan and Shivam Bhambri added 62 runs for the first wicket. The partnership was broken with the dismissal of Shivam (27). Later skipper Manan Vohra (19) also couldn’t stayed long. Khan (76) lost his wicket with 159/3 on the board. Middle order – Raj Angad Bawa (16), Mayank Sidhu (6) and Gurinder Singh (0) also failed to support Ankit much. Despite the dismissal of tailenders Jagjit Singh Sandhu (16), Vishu (4) and Nishunk Birla (4), Ankit held its fort. Anukul Rai dismissed Ankit to wrap up Chandigarh at 290. Ankit smashed 13 boundaries and a six in his innings of 112. Aditya Singh took three wickets.

Rana and Kush’s tons helped Chandigarh (528/9) to laid strong foundation against Uttarakhand

Chandigarh, A magnificent century knock from wicketkeeper batter Akshit Rana (182) followed by yet another century from  Deepender Kush (131) century helped Chandigarh to laid a strong foundation for the team with 528/9 against Uttarakhand on the second day of the Col CK Nayudu Trophy being played at Ramnagar. In reply, Uttarakhand was struggling at 95/4.

Earlier, the visitors resumed its overnight score of 298/5. Rana was well supported by Deepender Kush who scored 131 runs. Rana scored 182 runs with 25 fours and four sixes. Dushyant contributed 93 while Neel added 41 runs. Uttarakhand was reeling at 95/4 before the stumps were drawn. A Suryavanshi scored the highest 39 runs. Uttarakhand is still trailing by 433 runs.
