The “Choose France Tour 2024” concluded successfully here, marking a milestone in the series of education fairs across five major Indian cities. The event, held at the JW Marriott Hotel, witnessed an overwhelming response from Indian students and their families eager to explore higher education opportunities in France.
Organized by the French Embassy in India and Campus France, this tour brought together over 50 prestigious French universities and higher education institutions. The fair provided a unique platform for attendees to connect directly with academic representatives, discover diverse study programmes, and receive personalized guidance on scholarships, visas, and student life in France.
Emphasising on the advantages of studying in France, the Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Dr Thierry Mathou, said: “The Choose France Tour widely opens France’s doors to Indian Students. The event showcased a wide range of academic paths, including specialized programmes in engineering, management, hospitality, arts, architecture, and more. High-school graduates and other prospective students benefited from free counselling sessions with Campus France advisors, helping them navigate various career opportunities.
With over 3,500 institutions and 1,700 programmes taught in English, France provides education across all fields. For students interested in studying in French, special Classes Internationales (International Classes) have been established, enabling students with little to no French proficiency to follow a foundation year in France to train in the French language, with thematic courses relevant to their field of interest.
The Alliance Française network also participated in the Choose France Tour, providing information on French language and cultural immersion programmes. Learning French, a language spoken by more than 320 million people globally, enhances both academic prospects and career success, in India and abroad.
