Chandigarh Police Cyber Cell SP (IPS) Ketan Bansal believes that cyber crime is increasing as a significant and global challenge. Caution and awareness are necessary to deal with it. Using social media carefully can help prevent the rise of cyber crimes.
Ketan Bansal, as the chief guest, participated in the Cyber Security Conclave organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry today. He addressed industrialists and city residents, emphasizing that cyber attacks are emerging in new forms in the rapidly changing environment. Cyber security is not just a one-day topic but requires continuous awareness spreading. The younger generation, with proper and secure use of social media, can help prevent the growth of cyber crimes. He stated that it’s crucial to effectively implement cyber security measures in the corporate world and the industrial sector. In the computer age, cyber criminals are targeting not only urban but also rural areas. On this occasion, Ketan Bansal delivered a speech on the importance of security against cyber attacks and cyber crimes.
Prior to this, when Ketan Bansal and other cyber security experts arrived here, Pranav Gupta, Chair of the PHDCCI Haryana Chapter, welcomed them and stated that the event has been organized by the chamber in response to the current demand. Its aim is to raise awareness about cybercrimes among as many people as possible.
The founder of Cyber Cops and cyber security consultant, Tarun Malhotra, mentioned that companies focusing on online security at this time are progressing securely. He emphasized that the importance of cybersecurity in the establishment of a business has become even greater than the fundamental structure. Cyber security is no longer the concern of just one sector or country; it has become a global issue. No country in the world is immune to it. When industries are established in foreign countries, special attention is given to the cybersecurity aspect alongside the fundamental infrastructure.
Deputy Superintendent of Prisons DSP Pramod Khatri encouraged people about cyber security. SI Pragati, Ashima Bisht, Ishita Popli, Dr. RUpinder Aulakh and Garima Kaushik were honoured on this occasion. On this occasion, cybersecurity expert Amarpal Singh expressed his thoughts on the Data Bill 2023. Bharati Sood, the Regional Director of PHDCCI, stated that this is a highly sensitive topic, and anyone from any sector can fall victim to cybercrime.
During the program, there were panel discussions on emerging cyber threats, cyber security administration, and risk management topics. The panel included prominent figures such as Mamta Bharadwaj, COO of STPI, Karan Sharma, IT Head of Saurav Chemicals, Sahil Makkar, Chairman of Punjab Angel Network, Ashish Abraham, Technical Solutions Specialist at CIISO, Ankit Kumar, and Rajneesh Jain from Nahar Group of Industries, among others.
