The general body meeting of Rural Education Welfare Association (REWA) was held at Community Center Sector 27.
Most of the schools participated in this meeting .
There was a discussion about quality education.
President VB Kapil said that REWA will further promote educational activities and sports in rural areas this year.
Dr. Vinod Sharma said that such activities will give children of different schools a chance to move forward.
The owners of the schools agreed unanimously. Keeping his views on the subject of physical and mental harassment, Antarjot said that there should be a sense of generosity with the students. Satwant Singh praised REWA and said that it has given a platform to all the schools. Here all the members expressed their views.
During the meeting, VB Kapil raised the issue related to REWA ‘s election. On this, all the members unanimously decided that VB Kapil will remain the President of REWA for the next three years as well.
All the present members empowered the newly elected President to form a new executive. While forming the Executive Committee, Kapil appointed Antarjot as Advisor, Dr. Vinod Sharma as Media Advisor, Devender Arora as Vice President, Himani Sharma as General Secretary, Pradeep Sharma as Finance Secretary, Sanjeev Joshi as Joint Finance Secretary, Vijay Sharma as Joint Secretary.
REWA anthem was also launched during the programme. Composed by Dr. Vinod Kumar Sharma, REWA song has been given music and voice by music teacher Rajesh Verma of Kailash Behl DAV Senior Secondary School, Sector 7B, Chandigarh. On this occasion, all the school owners showed a sense of solidarity.

Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes. A terminal at London’s Gatwick Airport has been evacuated due to a security threat. “Safety and security of our passengers and staff remains our top priority. Congress wins all 3 seats in Karnatka by-polls
Congress candidates registered wins on all three seats which went for by-polls in Karnatka. Pathan Yasirahmedkhan won from Shiggaonwith margin of 13,448 votes, defeating BJP’s Bharath Bommai, E Annapoorna won from Sandur with margin of 9,649 votes defeating BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha. CP Yogeeshwara won from Channapatna with margin of 25,413 votes defeating HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
