Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has collaborated with the Indian Armed forces to organise the third edition of the Kargil Vijay Diwas ride to celebrate the victory of the Indian forces in the Kargil War [operation Vijay]. The ride consists of 24 riders including veterans, officers, and soldiers from the Indian Armed forces and will cover a distance of 3,620 kilometers, across major military establishments and memorials and will then conclude at the Kargil War Memorial in Dras.
As part of the route itinerary, the riders halted at Chandigarh to experience the rich history, and cultural heritage, the city has to offer. The riders were welcomed by senior army officials in Chandigarh, followed by a media interaction at a local Jawa Yezdi dealership where the riders shared their ride experiences and their enthusiasm for this momentous ride.
This year, Kargil Vijay Diwas is being organized by the Naga regiment of the Indian Army. The theme of the expedition is ‘First Breath to Last’, connecting the birthplace of the Naga soldiers to the place they breathed their last, in the war of 1999. This rally marks the third consecutive year Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles is partnering with the Indian Armed Forces to organize the official Kargil Vijay Diwas ride.
About #ForeverHeroes Initiative:
The #ForeverHeroes initiative was conceived by Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles to inculcate a sense of gratitude towards the Armed Forces. Right from its early phase, the company has been developing a culture of values to appreciate their efforts and sacrifice that help keep the country safe, peaceful & prosperous. In 2019, the company formally announced this initiative to contribute to the cause of welfare of Armed Forces personnel and their next of kin.
In its day-to-day functioning, the company also looks forward to facilitating interactions of its employees & customers through its network and other suitable occasions with the armed forces personnel to help build regard & respect for their contribution to the country. As a part of this, the company delivered the first few motorcycles to its customers by the hands of veterans, ex-servicemen and serving officers.
