PHDCCI will prepare women entrepreneurs in Punjab
For the first time ‘She’ women’s form was Set UP
Taking a new initiative, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which acts as a bridge between industrialists and the government across the country, has launch the ‘SHE’ form with the aim of creating women entrepreneurs in Punjab.
This form was formally inaugurated under the leadership of the Chamber’s Resident Director Bharti Sood during a program organized in collaboration with Punjab Agro & Startup Punjab, Amritsar.
On this occasion, successful woman entrepreneur, co-chair of Women, Child Development and Entrepreneur Committee, PHDCCI, Blossom Kochhar, who was the chief guest, said that the women of Punjab need a platform where not only their problems can be solved but also They also got training to become successful entrepreneurs. Even today the scope of women is limited.
In such a situation, they will be given training by the Chamber only by staying within their ambit.
In the presidential address, PHDCCI Resident Director Bharti Sood said that PHDCCI ‘She’ stands for Strong, Holistic & Energetic Women’s Forum, that’s the definition of a woman.
She said that through this forum, women self-help groups running in all the districts of Punjab would be provided a platform to display their products, while successful women entrepreneurs involved in this forum would further prepare new women entrepreneurs.
She said that through the ‘She’ forum, women will be given information about preparing new products, marketing the products etc.
She told that this time efforts are being made to increase the participation of women entrepreneurs in Pitax as compared to earlier.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vibha Bawa, Founder, Ojas Fitness Clinic & Educational Center, said that women now have to show their talents themselves.
Such platforms can prove to be helpful in promoting the skills of women.
Himachal’s Assistant Commissioner Sales Tax & Excise Poonam Thakur said that the women entrepreneurs of Himachal Pradesh are showcasing their talents across the country today.
She told that through this forum, a joint meeting of the women of Himachal and Punjab would be organized so that they could share their ideas with each other.
Advocate Pooja Nair, Convenor of Regional Women Development Committee of PHDCCI, said that through this banner, women will also be made aware of legal rights.
Many dignitaries including Mandeep Tangra, Founder CEO of Simba Quartz, Local Coordinator Jaideep Singh were present on the occasion.
