Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas celebrated Diwali in Indian style with puja at their Los Angeles home
Global actress Priyanka Chopra and her singer-actor husband Nick Jonas celebrated Diwali with Lakshmi puja at their Los Angeles home. Their Diwali was about light, love and laughter. While Priyanka chose a yellow sari for the occasion, Nick complemented her by wearing a white embroidered kurta. Their pictures had all the beautiful shades of the festival. PeeCee recited a shloka as she shared the pictures on her Instagram, “With the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi we invite Her grace and abundance into our home. Happy Diwali,” she wrote.
Priyanka has often shared that she begins anything auspicious with puja. Although the two come from different faiths, Priyanka and Nick share that love and respect for each other’s belief system. Their strong spiritual connection can be seen in the pictures the actress often shares.
Diwali eve for the boss lady was about love and laughter with her friends. She was seen enjoying the pre-Diwali bash hosted by Mindy Kaling. Even Lilly Singh was there to celebrate the festival. Sharing pictures with them, she wrote, “Love, laughter and a room full of badass desi boss ladies. Thank you @mindykaling, @deepica + @meena for a lovely pre Diwali celebration.”
A proud host, Mindy says the fabulous evening was possible because of her friends. With some happy pictures, she wrote, “Last night I was so proud to host a Diwali party with my friends @meena at @phenomenal and @deepica at @livetinted. Meena’s and Deepica’s companies are fabulous, fashionable and shifting culture (they also have an amazing Live Tinted collab out now!). We hosted some amazing women from our community and got to share stories and celebrate each other (with delicious food and major fashion moments). This couldn’t have happened when I first moved to LA over a decade ago, but now we are HERE! Next year will be even bigger. Here are some pics from last night!”
