 A visit to the Child Friendly City Initiative Chandigarh for the last three years was presented in Bal Bhavan Sector 23 on Wednesday in the presence of various stakeholders. The unique feature of the event was that it was attended by child MPs from various wards of Chandigarh. Organized in collaboration with the City Initiative Team. The program commenced with a Welcome Speech by Reiji Tom, Director, Don Bosco Navajivan Society, Sector 24 / B Chandigarh. Deep burning was done by various stakeholders including children. The three-year journey was presented by the leaders of the Bal MP. On this occasion, Dr. G. Dewan, former Director Health Services, UT Chandigarh, Manoj Parida, wife of IAS Advisor UT Chandigarh Lippi Parida, Mr. Mahavir Singh, Member Secretary State Legal Services Authority, Dr. Satwinder Kaur, Chairperson Child Welfare Committee, Mr. Ravinder Billa President Chandigarh Vyapar Mandal, Shri Anil Vohra, Former President Chandigarh Vyapar Mandal, Smt Manjeet Kaur, Secretary Rotary Club Chandigarh, Ms Shilpa Das Secretary CUF dignitaries were also present. On the occasion, a mobile medical van was also inaugurated by Dr. G. Dewan and the second phase of the Child Friendly City Initiative Chandigarh was inaugurated by Mrs. Lipi Parida.

Members of Civil Society, Mr. Ravinder Singh Billa, Mrs. Neha Walia and Mrs. Manjeet Kaur spoke of their contribution for the Child Friendly City Initiative Chandigarh. During the event, members of the press club were also seen interviewing the stakeholders, which was a unique sight in itself. It was a thought-provoking and meaningful event, which encouraged more to work towards child-friendly Chandigarh among all stakeholders.
