Shinjini enthralls the city audience on concluding day of Yuva Kathak Utsav
Young and dazzling kathak exponents continued to captivate the city audience on concluding day of the ongoing Kathak Utsav organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra at the M.L. Koser Indoor Auditorium here today. Programe was also telecasted live from stage on social media platforms of Kendra like Kendra’s official YouTube channel, face book and Insta page for music lovers outside the city.
New ray of hope and talented Shinjini born into the Ninth Generation of the Kalka Bindadin Lineage, She is the granddaughter of the Kathak Maestro Pt.Birju Maharaj. She began her training in Kathak dance at the tender age of five under the tutelage of her grandfather. She began performing at the age of eight, and has ever since been exploring her passion for dance. An outstanding student academically, Shinjini has recently completed her .While excelling in her studies, she has also continued her training with utmost dedication and sincerity. Shinjini has given numerous solo performances and group shows in various cities of India and abroad .
Shinjini commenced her recital with beautiful invocatory piece Lord Rama’s bhajan “Shri Ram Charan “. Her synchronized dance movements amidst a hearty applause from the audience After this she moved on to present Shudh nritya of Lucknow Gharana (technical part) tode, tukde, kavit , aamad paran uthan and some very graceful traditional bandishs of Lucknow Gharana . She displayed subtle moods, graceful movements with sparkling footwork marked with agile moves.
She provided befitted finale to the programe with beautiful knit prasang bsed on abhinaya paksh of kathak in which she portray the intense and untouched moments between Urmila and Lakshman after fourteen years of vanvas . Her remarkable command over abhinaya aspect was shown in this item. Her flowing graceful movements and stunning expressions matched the content and were well received by the audience.
She has fine team of accompanists Yogesh Gangani on tabla, Zaki Ahmed on Vocal and Ghulam Mohd. on sarangi .
