Lamps lit up to celebrate first Diwali of Ram Temple in Ayodhya
Chandigarh, November 12, 2020: BJP, Chandigarh Vice President Nina Tiwari distributed 7000 diyas to the residents on Diwali, and face masks. 501 diyas were also lit up to mark the first Diwali of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
She congratulated the people of Chandigarh on the occasion of Diwali and appealed to the residents to follow COVID norms for a safe Diwali.
On this occasion, Nina Tiwari expressed her happiness on Lord Shri Ram’s arrival in Ayodhya by lighting lamps along with other supporters. Others present were Chandigarh BJP State President Arun Sood; former Chandigarh BJP State President Mr. Sanjay Tandon; former Mayor and BJP, Chandigarh Vice President Asha Jaswal and other party activists and supporters.
On this occasion, Nina Tiwari said that the objective of distributing 7000 diyas to the citizens is also ‘vocal for local’ on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On this occasion, State President of BJP, Chandigarh, Arun Sood said that Diwali is one of the biggest and most important festivals of the country. Diwali is the festival of lamps that signifies the victory of light over darkness. He said that it is in the hands of all the citizens of the city to bring pollution under control for a clean environment.
Former State President of BJP, Chandigarh Sanjay Tandon said that the construction work of Shri Ram Temple is going on in Ayodhya this year, which is a matter of pride. This is the first Diwali of Ram Temple for all the countrymen so this festival should be celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm.

On this occasion, BJP, Chandigarh Vice President Asha Jaswal highlighted the importance of Diwali and wished Diwali to all the residents.
