Dhar, Bhopal based Shweta Joshi has been a child prodigy and has been destined to be a musician from her childhood. She is also an A-Grade Artist in All India Radio and Television. Shweta has received her taalim under Pt. Lalita Shankar Pandit since the age of twelve. Later she also came under the able tutelage of guru like Badrilal Malviya and nowadays she is learning intricacies from Pt. Lakshmi Kant Joshi. She performed in many prestigious events all over India.
Shweta commenced with quiet dignity of the methodical and reposeful alap in Raga “ Shyam Kalyan ” with ek taal bandish Jiyo mere laal followed by Chhota khayal teen taal Madhya laya bandish with bols “banwari wari jaun main” .

Then she moved on to present drut ek taal based on Chhota khayal composition with bols “Sughar chatur banra mora” . After this crisp bandish she presented rag Madhukauns based bandish Aarj karun Shyam based on Jhap taal followed by Madhya laya tree taal bandish with bols More Bayina Kunwar Kaanhiya with her rmelodic voice . She concluded her recital with a Bhajan “Kutumbh taji sharan Ram teri” . She was ably accompanied by Mukesh Solanki on Tabla and Deepak Khalatkar on harmonium.
