Rattan Group organized Blood Donation Camp, 53 Students & staff donated blood
The NSS unit of Rattan Professional Education College, Sector 78 organized Blood Donation Camp at its campus. Balbir Singh Sidhu, Health and Family Welfare and Labour, Minister was the Chief Guest on this occasion and inaugurated the camp. The camp was coordinated by Retractors, NSS Volunteers, staff and management of Rattan Group. 53 units of blood were collected at the moment.
Balbir Singh Sidhu, Health and Family Welfare and Labour, Minister said that worldwide millions of lives are saved every year because of blood collected by blood banks through such blood donation camps. Much more can be saved if we can popularize this habit among the youth and can develop a habit to do it regularly. He praised those people who donated the blood, one feel good and satisfied once they donated the blood.
Surndar Lal Aggerwal, Chairman complimented the staff and the students for this noble social cause. He appreciated the enthusiasm among the students who donated the blood. He further said that if we could motivate people, they will also come forward to donate blood. It creates awareness among the masses that by donating blood we do not lose anything but through this noble act, they could potentially save precious lives of some one. He further added that there was hardly any other service to humanity as noble and virtuous as the donation of blood.
The pre-donation and post-donation care was done under the expert supervision of the team of doctors from the Govt. Hospital, Phase 6 Mohali. During the blood donation camp donors were given certificates and donor cards along with refreshments.

Mr. Sunder Lal Aggarwal. On this occasion Mrs. Sangeeta Aggarwal, Dr S.M Khera, Academic advisor, Dr. Harjeet Kaur, Principal, B.Ed. Department and Dr. Avinash Kaur Rana (Nursing Principal), Ms. Amarjyoti Sharma & Mr. Kartik Aggarwal were also present.
