‘Explorama 2020’ – Science Exhibition at RIMT World School

RIMT World School held a science exhibition, ‘Explorama 2020’ at the school’s premises on Saturday, February 01, 2020 wherein students from classes VI to IX showcased many self designed working scientific models and projects. The aim of the Exhibition was to develop scientific spirit and curiosity among students, to encourage Problem solving approach and developing appropriate technologies by applying scientific ideas in daily situations.

 

The students of class VI showcased Smart Street Light System, Hydraulic Car Parking Model, Li-Wi technology, Smart House Technology, Automated rain harvesting model & Electromagnetic train under the theme ‘Futuristic Science’

Students of class VII presented models on the theme ‘Ecobiz’ focusing on saving the environment by reusing waste material. They created a smoke absorber, vaccum cleaner, smart waste segregator, hydroponics, air purifier and organic floor cleaner. They also created a ‘Planetarium’ a Vault of Heaven where you can go see what the night sky looks like. Students of class VIII created models on the theme ‘Sustainable Environment’ showing generation of energy from waste water, solutions to the destruction caused by an earthquake, diesel or energy source from wheat chaff and plastic. They also built a ‘Tranquil Studio’ a centre for meditation where you can train your mind for everyday mindfulness. The students of class IX A showcased models on ‘Health and well being’. They exhibited the working of lungs and effects of pollution and smoking on it, working of heart and atherosclerosis and working of kidney and ultra filtration. Class IX B showcased models on ‘Amazing Science of Nature’, by showing nitrogen cycle in nature, rainwater formation, pendulum waves and non-conventional sources of energy.

The exhibition was truly a learning experience and provided a golden opportunity to the students to showcase their talent, imagination and creativity. The Principal, Mrs. Anjali Sharma motivated the students to be the saviours and care takers of this unique planet earth. She inspired the children to be innovative in their ideas in the future also and leave an indelible imprint for the future policy makers to follow.
