Universal group of Institutions celebrated Lohri
Universal group of Institutions celebrated Lohri. Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Universal group of Institutions. Students and teachers participated in all the activities organised for the celebration by the UGI. The mood of the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. The programme started with ‘Lohri Poojan’. Programmes like dances, songs and games were the point of attraction in the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Chairman, Dr. Gurpreet Singh wished that may the coming year would bring the happiness in the lives of the all human beings. The occasion prompts people to be thankful for God’s provision and to celebrate his creations, its focus on farming. He further informed that lohri is the famous festival of North India, especially of Punjab. It is celebrated on the last night of the month Paush, it is the beginning of Magh month i.e. Spring season.
