32-year-old Vivek Thakur of Sec-44 Chandigarh Is going to represent India in upcoming Commonwealth Judo Championship 2019-20 going to held at Birmingham, the U.K. from 23 to 30 Sep 2019. In -100 kg weight category (M-1) age group.
Vivek is Silver Medalist in -100 kg in previous Commonwealth Judo Championship 2018-19 held at Jaipur, India. This selection was based on previous commonwealth championship performance. Vivek has also won Gold Medal in Nepal International Championship 2003. 7 times continues Gold medal in National Level Championships year 1999 to 2006. Vivek is a NIS Topper Diploma in Sports coaching (Judo) 2017-18 from NS NIS Patiala, by getting 73.83% Grade -A. Vivek was appreciated & awarded his diploma by Governor of Punjab Sh VP Singh Badnore.
Vivek was awarded Black Belt from Judo Federation of India in the year 2019. Vivek is giving voluntary Judo coaching to more than 100 needy students in Chandigarh To promote Judo & bring medals in National & International Level. Gautam Adani, nephew Sagar summoned by US SEC over 2,200 cr-bribery case
Adani Group’s billionaire Chairman Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar have been issued summons over US Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) allegation about paying $250 million (over ₹2,200 crore) in bribes.
