Nari Jagriti Manch celebrates Teej festival
Nari Jagriti Manch, Chandigarh today celebrated the festival of Teej at Sector 40 Hanumant Dhaam Mandir in Sector 40 here. A cultural event was also kept on the occasion which included some traditional songs and dances. The women wished each other on the occasion. Henna was kept for all women participating in the celebrations to add festivities to the occasion.
The Chief Guests on the occasion were Ex Mayor and Councilor Asha Jaiswal, Area Councilor Gurbax Rawat, Councilor Sunita Dhawan, Dr Aarti Verma, Dr Rachna. The Chief Guests planted saplings on the occasion.
Neena Tiwari, the President of the Manch felicitated women present on the occasion with traditional Teej Phulkari Chunni and Suhaag Patari.
