CGC Jhanjeri Girls Won PTU’s Inter College Volleyball Tournament
CGC Jhanjeri girls won Inter College Volley Ball Tournament organized by Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Seven colleges of girls team participated in this tournament held at IET Bhaddal, Ropar.
CGC Jhanjeri played their first match against CGC Landran and won it by 2-0 sets (25-10, 25-08). Second match ,semi final was played by Jhanjeri team with BCET Gurdaspur and they again recorded straight victory by winning first two sets (25-11, 25-15).
Final match was played between CGC Jhanjeri and PTU campus Jalandhar. CGC Jhanjeri girls won this match also by 2-0 sets (25-12, 25-16). The team of CGC, Jhanjeri was honored with the glittering trophy.
The team members of CGC Jhanjeri included Simranjeet Kaur, Captain, Reshu Jha, Shivani Chauhan, Aditi, Karitka, Diksha, Arushi and Megha. The team won trophy and all other members were awarded gold medals.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC congratulated all the team members & their coach.

Dr. G.D.Bansal, Director General said that this team had won this trophy last year also and if we win it next year again, then this running trophy will become a permanent property of CGC Jhanjeri by virtue of winning it consecutively for three years.
