Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar R/o # 2185, Dadu Majra and Sanjay R/o # 104, DMC, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Rehri Market, Sec-24, Chandigarh on 03.10.2018. Total cash Rs. 6050/- was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 294, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under NDPS Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Amarjit Singh @ Baroni R/o # 123, Village-Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh near H.No. 353, Guga Mari Gali, Khuda Lahora, Chandigarh and recovered 510 gram Opium from his possession. A case FIR No. 261, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A case FIR No. 196, U/S 420, 467, 468, 471 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh on the complaint Sh. Pardeep Garg, Chief Manager, State Bank of Patiala, SCO No. 99-107, Sector-8, Chandigarh who alleged that Mohit Kumar R/o Flat No. 401, Block No. 2, Bollywood Heights, Peer Muchala, SAS Nagar, Mohali, (PB) approached through M/s Harbir Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. Plot No.182/84 Ph-1 Industrial Area Chandigarh in our branch to get loan of Rs.11.60 lacs for the purchase of new Car i.e. Mahindra Scorpio S-10 vide quotation dated 31.05.2016. He obtained loan by submitted fake driving license and fake forged passbook of Andhra Bank branch Sec-20, Panchkula HR. The transactions/entries containing in the pass book submitted by Mohit Kumar were found fake forged and fabricated and not actual transactions. Investigation of the case is in progress.
