One arrested for consuming liquor at public place
A case U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC has been registered in PS-49, Chandigarh against one person who was arrested while consuming liquor at public place. Later he bailed out. Investigation of the cases is in progress.
This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law.
Action against Gambling/Satta
Chandigarh Police arrested Pappu R/o # 167, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh and Rajinder R/o # 165, Ph-2, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh while they were gambling near Madrasi Mandir, BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 23.08.2018. Total cash Rs. 8200/- was recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 269, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later both were released on bail bond. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested for applying fake number plate
Chandigarh Police arrested Mandeep Kumar R/o # 247-B, Shastri Nagar, Mani Majra, Chandigarh near Kishangarh Chowk, Chandigarh on 23-08-2018, while he was using fake Registration number CH-04J-5193 on Aviator Scooter. In this regard, a case FIR No. 223, U/S 473 IPC has been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 219, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Jagjeet Singh R/o Village Choti Ferozpur, Kharar, Distt. Mohali, (PB) who alleged that driver of unknown vehicle sped away after hitting to complainant’s M/Cycle No. HR-75B-6875 near Light Point, Sarangpur, Chandigarh on 23-08-2018. Complainant got injuries and admitted in GMSH-16, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Area, Chandigarh against driver of unknown truck who sped away after hitting to Activa Scooter No. CH-01BG-9895 and a cycle near Centra Mall light point, Chandigarh on 23-08-2018. Resultantly Rinku, Pawan and Vishal got injuries and admitted in GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where Rinku R/o # 257, Block-K, Colony No. 4, Chandigarh declared dead. Investigation of the case is in progress.
