CII donates 20000 N95 Masks and 5000 PPE Kits to the Government of Haryana
CII has donated 20000 N95 Masks and 5000 PPE Kits to the Government of Haryana as part of the Relief & Rehabilitation Initiatives being carried out by CII, its members and CII Foundation. The donation was made on the basis of specific requests received from the State Government regarding requirements of N95 Masks and PPE Kits.
CII has also set up a CII Haryana State COVID Action Task Force for assisting the State Government in carrying out relief and rehabilitation work for the people affected by COVID19 in Haryana.
The Task Force is headed by Mr Sunjay Kapur, Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Chairman, Sona COMSTAR and Mr Rajiv Gandhi, Vice Chairman, CII Haryana State Council & Sr. ED – Production, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd is the co-chair for the task force.
Besides this donation, several other relief measures have already been carried out by CII across Haryana specifically in districts like Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Fatehabad and Sirsa.
CII Foundation is already running a project on Preventing Stubble burning in Districts of Hisar, Sirsa and Fatehabad and has extended its work by distributing more than 5000 food kits to migrant labourers in these districts. Each food kit is good enough for a family of five for 15 days. In addition, thousands of hygiene kits have also been donated in these districts and the list also includes PPE kits, masks and 400 litres of sanitiser.
Members including Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Sona COMSTAR, CLP Power Ltd, Minda Industries Ltd, JCB India Ltd, Escorts Ltd, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, Frick India Ltd, Sanden Vikas, Bony Polymers and many more have reached out to thousands of migrants and daily wage workers in supplying cooked meals and dry ration with help from district and state authorities.

Among other activities being undertaken under relief & rehabilitation initiatives, members have been actively involved in distribution of sanitizer & face masks; handholding companies engaged in production of ventilators; and partnering with Medical Sciences Institutes for funding procurement of PPE Kits, Testing Kits & Medicines.
