In alignment with Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi’s dream of a roof over every poor person’s head, the Haryana government has launched the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana to realize the dream of a home for poor families in the state. Under this scheme, 15,250 beneficiaries have been given plot allotment certificates today.
At the state-level ceremony was held at Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak, where the Chief Minister attended as the chief guest, distributed the plot allotment letters to the beneficiaries on the spot. Simultaneously, programs were also held in four other locations, namely Yamunanagar, Palwal, Sirsa, and Mahendragarh.
Addressing the gathering, Sh. Nayab Singh said that today is a very happy day as the dream of owning a home is coming true for poor people. The Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana is not just a scheme but a commendable initiative by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi and our ‘double-engine sarkar’ to bring smiles to the faces of the poor and fulfill their dreams. Our government’s goal is to simplify the lives of the poor and empower them so they can advance their families and provide good education to their children, he said.
Recently, Poor people were given possession certificates for 100 square yards plots
The Chief Minister said that the previous government showed plots to the poor but neither gave them plots nor any papers. Those people kept running from pillar to post. However, our government understood their plight and decided to provide them with plots. Therefore, a program was organized in Sonipat recently where poor people were given possession certificates for 100 square yards plots, said Sh. Nayab Singh. He said that the government also announced that if land is not available in the villages, an amount of Rs. 1 lakh will be transferred to the accounts of the remaining people to purchase plots.
Furthermore, officers have been directed to develop a portal so that any eligible beneficiary who has been left out or any other citizen wanting to avail of this scheme can apply, said the Chief Minister.
He informed that just a few days ago, over one lakh eligible beneficiaries of the labor department were provided benefits worth Rs. 80 crores under various schemes.
23 lakh families benefit from free roadways travel facility being given under the HAPPY Scheme
The Chief Minister said that the state government has distributed HAPPY cards to families with an income of less than Rs. 1 lakh annually under the Haryana Antyodaya Parivar Parivahan Yojana (HAPPY). There are about 23 lakh such families in the state, with around 84 lakh members, who are benefiting from 1000 kilometers of free bus travel within a year under this scheme.
PM Surya Ghar: Eligible Citizens to avail free electricity scheme
Sh. Nayab Singh said that the central government has launched the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Under this scheme, families with an annual income of less than Rs. 1.80 lakh can benefit. The cost of installing solar panels is Rs 1.10 lakh, of which Rs. 60,000 will be provided by the central government and Rs. 50,000 by the Haryana government. Availing this scheme will reduce the electricity bill to zero, and the government will buy the excess electricity generated, providing an additional income.
The Constitution is Safe, but Congress is Diminishing, CM
The Chief Minister said that opposition parties lied during the elections that if Prime Minister, Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister for the third time, he would abolish the Constitution and reservation. However, for the past 10 years, the Prime Minister has run this country in accordance with the Constitution. Today, the Constitution is safe, but Congress is diminishing, said Sh. Nayab Singh.
He said that our government provided 5 marks to children from poor families with no jobs for securing jobs. However, the opposition’s ‘Bharti Roko’ gang does not want the poor to get jobs. This gang went to the Supreme Court against our government’s provision. We fought this battle in the Supreme Court, but now we will file a review petition. If no solution is found, we will enact a law in the assembly to provide 5 marks and work towards giving jobs to the poor, said the Chief Minister.
Our Double-Engine Sarkar continues to empower the Poor
Nayab Singh said that families with 2-kilowatt connections will only be charged for the electricity units consumed. He said that in 2014, after becoming Prime Minister, Sh.Narendra Modi dedicated his government to the poor, and today our double-engine government continues to empower the poor. He expressed that with the blessings of the people, Sh. Narendra Modi has taken the oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term, and now the people of Haryana will also bless us.
State Government working for the welfare of every section of society, Sh. Subhash Sudha
On this occasion, Minister of State for Urban Local Bodies, Sh. Subhash Sudha congratulated and extended best wishes to the beneficiaries receiving plot allotment letters under the Mukhyamantri Shehri Awas Yojana. He said that families with an annual income of less than Rs. 1.80 lakh applied under this scheme, and the Chief Minister provided benefits to such eligible beneficiaries.
He stated that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), a grant of Rs. 1.50 lakh will be given to beneficiaries for building houses. He emphasized that our government is working for the welfare of every section of society, including the poor, laborers, and needy.
