Jalandhar recorded the highest number of emergency deliveries at 22, followed closely by Ludhiana with 21, Amritsar with 15 and Patiala and Hoshiarpur with 14 each. 108 Ambulance has played a crucial role in addressing a vast range of medical emergencies across Punjab. Over the past year, the service responded to 23,111 cardiac emergencies, ensuring patients received critical pre-hospital care. Medical emergencies remained the largest category, with 81,101 cases attended, demonstrating the extensive reach and impact of the service. Pregnancy-related emergencies accounted for 64,344 cases, reaffirming the ambulance service’s commitment to maternal and neonatal care. Road accidents continued to be a major area of focus, with 30,042 cases requiring urgent medical intervention. Additionally, 20,313 other critical emergencies were handled, proving that 108 Ambulance is a lifeline for countless people in urgent need of medical attention.
