108 Ambulance Facilitates Safe Delivery During Emergency Transport

The 108 Ambulance service once again demonstrated its life-saving capabilities by successfully facilitating a childbirth during an emergency transport. A pregnant woman, Manorama Devi experiencing severe labor pains and fluid leakage, went into labor while being transported from Village Chamaru to Civil Hospital, Rajpura.

As the situation escalated, with the baby’s head already emerging, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Jatinder Kumar and Pilot Kuldeep Singh acted swiftly and skilfully to manage the delivery inside the ambulance. Thanks to their expertise and prompt response, the woman safely gave birth to a healthy baby en route. Both the mother and her newborn were safely dropped at Civil Hospital, Rajpura after the delivery. The mother and child are reported to be in good health.

108 Ambulance Project Head, Manish Batra expressed gratitude for the team’s readiness and expertise, stating, “This emergency delivery highlights the critical role our ambulance service plays in ensuring safe transport and care during unexpected medical situations.” He added, “Our EMTs are extensively trained to handle such emergencies and their professionalism makes all the difference in ensuring positive outcomes.”
