SANT NIRANKARI MISSION OBSERVES LIBERATION OF SOUL AS MUKTI PARV

The Sant Nirankari Mission observes Mukti Parv Diwas on 15th August along with celebrating Independence Day.

While remembering and paying homage to all those who fought to liberate India from the centuries old colonial rule, the Mission also remembers and pays homage to the past heads -Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji,Jagat Mata Budhwanti Ji,Nirankari Rajmata Kulwant Kaur Ji, Pujya Mata SavinderJi who along with many enlightened devotees worked to liberate the soul from its bondages to unite with the Super Soul and attain Salvation(Spiritual Liberation) during their life time;thus observing this day as Mukti Parv.

For decades,Sant Nirankari Mission, has been organizing Mukti Parv Samagam on this day and believes that while politicalfreedom is essential for socio-economic growth,so is spiritual liberation for leading a peaceful and contented life.

The Mission believes, due to ignorance, mankind stands divided based on religion, language, caste, creed, color, social and economic status thus, not reaping the benefits of human growth. It is only through being spiritually enlightened that one attains self-realisationof accepting Fatherhood of God so that manmade divisions lose credence and humanity moves ahead collectivelywith peace, love and harmony.

Observance of this day dates back to the era of Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji, when on 15thAugust 1964, His gracious spouse Jagat Mata Budhwanti Ji left her physical form and merged into Nirankar (God). This daywas then observed as ‘Jagat Mata Diwas’ who selflessly served mankind withtotal dedication.

Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji merged into Nirankar on 17th September 1969 and thereafter, the day was observed as ‘Shahenshah—Jagatmata Diwas’. Baba Avtar Singh Ji had framed the Ideology of the Mission along with vital principles to be followed by devotees.

During the era of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji,the third head of the Mission, this day was renamed as Mukti Parv Diwas, when the first president of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, Rev. Labh Singh Ji left his physical form on 15th August 1979.Since then all those enlightened devotees who worked to spread the message of the Missiondedicatedly are remembered on this day.
